«Mlada» choir in its new video “On the Amazon River” searches for happiness in the distant lands, but finds it in Perm

Perm academic choir “Mlada” releases its first video. The song, this video was made for, is called “On the Amazon River” and was previously performed by the famous Russian singers-songwriters duo Sergey and Tatyana Nikitin. Those of the citizens, who willed to take part in a shooting, were encourage to and invited.

The video was shot at the “Happiness is not far away” art-object in Perm from February to October 2013. Almost 200 citizens took part in a shooting process.

To reveal the idea, the video was shot during various seasons: in autumn, winter, spring and summer. Though the seasons are changing, the characters stay in the same outfits. It was used as a sign of the characters’ permanent readiness to come aboard of “Don” or “Magdalina” and sail to the distant lands, chasing the dream. The video tells a story of young men, looking for happiness and inspiring people around them. The final dance shows that even though they were looking for happiness in faraway lands, they have finally realized that it’s around, here and now.

Arrangement for the song was made by “Mlada” creative group: Sergey Vugyzov, Olga and Jakov Saravayskiy. Idea – Sergey Vugyzov. The choir collective thanks everyone, who participated in the shooting process. 

“This is the first experience of making a non-documentary video for us. At the first shooting day outside temperature was -20°C! But even in such extreme conditions we managed to cope with the task. Now we plan on making a new video for one of our songs “, - told the choir manager Olga Vugyzova.
